The Jar Family are five songwriters who started out busking on the streets of Hartlepool with tip jars. Eventually, they formed a music collective and now travel to every corner of the country to perform.

Linda Lewis is one of Britain’s most respected and talented singer songwriters, whose career spans more than four decades. With her five-octave vocal range, she has fused folk, soul, pop and reggae into a unique signature sound that is now an integral part of the pop music landscape.
Covers and samples of her music have been used by artists including Joss Stone and Common, and recent collaborations with Basement Jaxx, Turin Brakes and Jamiroquai show her impact remains just as powerful today as it was in the 1970s.
Linda continues to record and perform. In recent years she has appeared at Glastonbury, the Montreaux Jazz Festival, the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican, the V&A and the Jazz Cafe. Her live album Live in Old Smokey was recorded during a residency at Ronnie Scott’s.
“It’s in His Kiss” and “Rock-a-Doodle-Doo” were huge selling chart hits in the mid seventies for Linda, when she toured with Cat Stevens and Captain Beefheart. Linda played main stage at the first Glastonbury festival and the opening act at Knebworth festival. Her most recent hit song, “Old Smokey” “ was covered by rapper Common and reached No 1 in the USA.

The debut single ‘Hide U‘ grabbed hold of the dance circuit in mid-2001, later earning Kosheen honours for Best Single at the Drum and Bass Awards in the UK. ‘Hide U’ reached number 6 in the UK, while ‘Catch‘ hit number 15 and ‘Hungry‘ reached number 13. The accompanying album ‘Resist‘ (now platinum–selling) went on to reach number 8 in the UK album chart and made the top 20 in Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Greece, Australia. It has since sold half a million copies, making it the most successful drum and bass album at that time.
Sian and Kosheen had become a successful live act and festival favourite, the band recorded their second album. ‘All in my head‘, the first single released from ‘Kokopelli‘ went straight into the charts at number 7. It went on to platinum sales.
Sian Evans teamed up with DJ Fresh writing and featuring on the number 1 smash hit ‘Louder‘. It was released 2011 on Ministry of Sound. The song debuted at number 1 in the UK Singles Chart, UK Dance Chart and UK Indie Chart. The song serves as the theme for the Lucozade Sport Lite campaign. Sian also wrote ‘Hot Right Now’ for Rita Ora.
